Thirty-two young people completed the entrepreneurship and employability skills program at our center run with AKDN.
Thirty-two young women and men in Salamiyah presented their business plans to a panel of local employers, closing the first Youth Entrepreneurship and Employability Skills (YES) cycle at our community center.
The program combines digital skills, financial literacy, and mentorship. Six graduates have already launched small enterprises, from a phone repair shop to a home bakery, and eleven have found employment.
The center is operated in partnership with the Aga Khan Development Network. Registration for the second cohort opens in September.
