A Syrian foundation built to complement, not compete.
Since 2020 we have worked alongside local associations and international partners to raise the living, educational, cultural, and health standards of communities across Syria.
Our Story
Inanna Foundation was registered in November 2020 under Decision No. 2949, in the middle of one of the hardest periods Syrian families have lived through. A group of educators, social workers, and community organizers in Quneitra decided that waiting was not an option.
We started with what we knew best: getting children back into classrooms. The first Ring the Bell campaign handed out bags and stationery in Khan Arnabah. Within a year we had opened our first community center and expanded into adult literacy for women.
Today Inanna runs four centers across Quneitra, Rif Dimashq, Aleppo, and Hama, and works in more than ten locations. We are a women-led foundation, and our next phase is built around Women, Peace and Security: civil peace, social cohesion, and transitional justice, with women as true partners. Our name comes from the ancient Mesopotamian goddess of life and renewal. Our tagline says the rest: if we are here, we act.

First Ring the Bell campaign
Hundreds of children receive school bags and stationery. The first support courses inside formal education begin.
Centers in Rif Dimashq
Community centers open in Yalda and Beit Sahm. Adult education courses launch for women.
Aleppo and psychosocial care
The Saif al-Dawla center opens. Partnership with International Medical Corps brings psychosocial and medical services.
Climate resilience and Salamiyah
330 farmers receive seedlings and fruit trees. A new education and youth center opens in Salamiyah with AKDN.
6,000 children and counting
Two schools fully rehabilitated and more than 6,000 children reached through education programs.
