Women as peacebuilders, not bystanders.
Inanna Foundation believes that women are not merely affected by conflicts and crises, but are essential actors in building peace, making decisions, and strengthening security and social cohesion. Through the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) program, Inanna promotes the meaningful and safe participation of women in peace efforts, mediation, and local governance, and supports bringing their voices and expertise into the spaces where decisions are made. The program focuses on strengthening women's capacities and leadership and supporting their participation in conflict prevention, resolution, and peacebuilding, alongside protecting the rights of women and girls and expanding their access to safe services and opportunities. It also builds links and partnerships between women actors, local communities, and peace initiatives, contributing to more inclusive and sustainable solutions. Through a women-led approach grounded in the needs of local communities, Inanna works for a just and inclusive peace in which women are true partners in shaping the future of their communities.
