New windows, repaired roofing, accessible toilets, and freshly painted classrooms welcome 600 students this term.
The second school in our rehabilitation program reopened its doors this month after a summer of work. The building now has weatherproof windows, a repaired roof, accessible toilets, and a fenced playground.
Parents and teachers sat on the planning committee from the first day, choosing priorities and inspecting the work. That participation is why we are confident the upgrades will be cared for.
Around 600 students and 30 staff will use the building daily. Combined with the first school, our rehabilitation work now benefits more than 1,000 students.
